Standard Features
The ASME B16.5 standard governs the product itself and its practical use. For example, sets the working pressure at a specific temperature for flanges. These standards are based on data published in international standardization.
Sizes and weights for heavy duty steel stud nuts are in accordance with ASME B18.2.2 specification. The ASTM standard affects the electrical, physical, mechanical properties of the product, chemical composition, testing methods and all requirements for rolled metal products (configuration, dimensions, and so on). The most common stud materials (for flanges) are ASTM A193 (Grade B7, B8, B8M, B8T), ASTM A453 (Grade 660), ASTM A320 (Grade L7, L7M) and ASTM A182 (duplex and super duplex bolt). For aggressive solutions and environments, studs can be coated with xylan and other materials.
